We have been sweating our butts off here in Norfolk. It has been in the 90's since Friday. We decided to head over to the shady park and make our own breeze on the swings.

Take me to your leader
I accidently left one of the kitchens cabinets un-safety-locked! All I have to say is, she most definitely gets it from Chad.
Chloe's First Friend
That cute, little red-head you keep seeing in our photos is AJ Moore. His Dad, Tony, went to the Naval Academy with Chad and they were great friends during flight school. As Navy life goes, we moved, he moved, and years later, we are now in Norfolk together. We finally got in touch again and we all became great friends. I love love AJ's Mommy, Susan, who is also from Long Island. I have a thing for New Yorkers! AJ is a bit older than Chloe, he is 20 months, but she keeps up with him. She lights up when we have play-dates. She loves chasing him, tackling him, and stealing his juice cup!
Zing! Zang! Zoom!
Susan, Tony and AJ invited us to go to the circus with them on Saturday and of course we said yes! We saw the Ringling Brothers show Zing! Zang! Zoom! I knew Chloe was a bit young to understand it, but I figured she would at least enjoy an afternoon out. Here is a photo of us as the show is starting.
Our View
After about 10 mins of sitting still and watching the show, Chloe got a terrible case of ants in my pants. While in my lap the rest of the 2.5 hour show went like this...
Sit on my lap, Stand on my lap, sit, stand, sit, stand, sit, stand, sit, stand, jump, jump, jump, sit, stand, sit, stand........ Lesson learned! Here are some photos that Susan and Tony took. I didn't have time to take any as I was trying to contain my child!

For Grandpa
My father and Chad were both trying to teach her to go "AHHHHHhhhh" after taking a drink. She finally got it and does it quite often now. I finally got a video of it.

Arms up!
This is what Chloe does when you say "arms up." I was getting a picture of the little cuts on her right arm just above her elbow. Wanna know how this happened? This STUPID STUPID house, is how. I really really don't like this house. We found it in a pinch when coming from Japan. It is a terrible kid house. Chloe, Bailey and I were outside playing and Chloe fell on a pine cone. Pine cones are harmless, right? Not the ones in our yard. They have spikes on the ends of them. I usually kick them out of the way before we start playing, but I must of missed one.
We have a large pine tree in the front yard and back yard. It prevents grass from growing, throws these deadly pine cones at us, and sheds all over my beautiful black car. Hufff.... I officially hate all pine trees now. I fell out of one when I was younger and had to get stitches in my chin because of it. I am done, NO MORE PINE TREES!

Weather Forecast
Beware, Hurricane Chloe is moving along the mid-atlantic region with wind forces up to 70 miles per hour. She just went through Cooksville, Maryland and was quite devastating. Tomorrow she will be moving down 95 South and then onto 64 East toward the Hampton Roads area. If you live along this path, please take shelter.
Went through Grandma's thread.
Ripped up the magazines.
Toys, everywhere.
Opened the mail
Pulled down the easter decorations.
Pulled on all the plants.
Went through Grandma's cookbooks.
So that is where Daddy's toothbrush went?
I am certain that Grandma and Grandpa are thoroughly exhausted from all the clean up. I am not quite sure Hurricane Chloe will be invited back anytime soon. Not at least until she truly understands the meaning of "NO."
Their Unspoken Pact
Chloe is required to pull food out of the pantry and drawers when Mom isn't looking and share it with Bailey. As well as throw food from her high chair when she is done eating.
Bailey is required to make Chloe laugh and allow Chloe to hug her, pull her ears, and poke her whenever she wants.
They each dutifully hold up their end of the bargain!

Raiding the bread drawer
2 mini bagels
Chloe had a few bites and you know who ate the rest!
Mad
I picked up the camera because she was playing with her hat and doing a great job of putting it on herself and I wanted to get a video/photo of it. Within seconds she was mad and I have absolutely no clue about what!
30 seconds later she was fine and we were reading a book upside-down! She baffles me!

Chloe goes to the aquarium
We visited the National Aquarium in Baltimore yesterday. Chloe was semi-interested in the sea life. She seemed to like the fish that were brightly colored, but really was more interested in looking at other children. During the dolphin show she hung over my shoulder the entire time captivated by a little boy making faces at her and eating popcorn. She kept holding out her hand and grunting at him to give her some. I am pretty sure I enjoyed the dolphin show more then she did. Although the next time I go back it will be with Chad who can carry her around, up and down all the ramps, escalators, and stairs because they don't allow strollers. I probably wouldn't have gone if I had known that!
Checking out the fish, the brightly colored butterfly fish were her favorite.
Waiting for the dolphin show to start.
Looking out over the heavily polluted Inner Harbor.
Thankfully, we didn't get wet.
Dolphins are cool!
Feeding the pigeons while Mommy enjoyed a cosmo and white chocolate cheesecake at the Cheesecake Factory.

Navy All-American Dad
Chad played in the Army/Navy Alumni Game at Raven's Stadium in Baltimore on Friday night. We had lots of fun watching and seeing everyone. Chad was #45 in college, but he was #28 for the alumni game.
Army won the game by a landslide, but who was really keeping score. Everyone was just out to have a good time. Honestly, I think it is great Army took the victory in this alumni game. Their service and sacrifice during this time of war has been above and beyond the call of duty.
